Meet Yuliia

Yuliia Matvieieva
Administrative Assistant
Yuliia Matvieieva, a native of Ukraine, arrived in the United States two years ago from her hometown in Kyiv. As our administrative assistant, Yuliia is tasked with removing as many administrative distractions and obstacles as possible from the desk of our office manager, as well as helping to manage our office’s critical administrative tasks.
In addition to fielding phone calls and replying to email messages, Yuliia schedules, coordinates, and keeps tabs on meetings for SWC’s partners, Laura Stees and Marni Walker. She also helps on-board new clients and updates and maintains important details about our current clients.
Yuliia received her master’s degree in legal studies from Taras Schevchenko National University in Kyiv, preceded by IT studies at Lemon School of Entrepreneurship where she received certifications in graphic designer and content.
Yuliia’s first job after college was as a paralegal, followed by a stint as an administrative assistant, and then a graphic designer and social media specialist. Prior to joining the SWC team, Yuliia was a preschool and afterschool program aid for kindergarten through fifth graders. In addition, she conducted behavioral and social evaluations for the students, addressing issues with both parents and supervisors.
Since arriving in the United States, Yuliia says she enjoys exploring the countryside, discovering new places, eating new foods, and meeting interesting people. In her free time, she heads to the gym, creates and designs picture art, and watches streaming shows and movies. She says her favorite genres are anime, comedies, crime, action, adventures, histories, and real life.

What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?
I am fluent in three languages and can read and understand two more.

Who is someone you admire — either personally or professionally — and why do you admire that person?
I admire my parents who raised me to become the person I am now. They gave me everything I needed, were always supportive and on my side with everything I was doing in my life.
