Jennifer Shelton, CPA, MAcc, is a Certified Public Accountant at SWC — a Southern California-based tax planning and tax-smart financial strategy advisory firm for small business owners and entrepreneurs, real estate investors, and high net-worth individuals and families.

With nearly 20 years of experience in public accounting and a background in taxation and business accounting, Jennifer focuses on using the tax code to save our clients’ money on their state and federal tax filings while simultaneously increasing their net worth.

A graduate of Kansas State University’s Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program, Jennifer is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants (KSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Prior to joining the team at SWC, she spent 16 years in a variety of staff accountancy roles, including those responsible for interfacing with bookkeeping, payroll tax, and income tax functions.

In addition, she has experience reporting to the Federal Election Committee for campaign committees, PACs, and joint fundraising committees.

When she’s not assisting our clients with their tax-related needs and opportunities, Jennifer can be found enjoying time with her kids, cooking, and being outdoors.

My parents. They’ve taught me the value in working with my hands and doing things for myself.  They haven’t been dealt the best hand in life but that hasn’t stopped them. They’ve had to develop new solutions to the challenging situations they’ve encountered. But not only have they used these solutions to make their challenges in life easier, they’ve shared their solutions with others in similar situations. They’ve pushed forward when most would have given up.
