Meet Mallory

Mallory Serzen
Lead Office Administrator
Mallory Serzen is responsible for the daily operation and administrative success of our San Diego office. Her daily tasks include coordinating staff appointment schedules; onboarding new clients; and managing office workflow systems, including client proposals, billing statements, and client deliverables.
In addition, Mallory provides client service in person, on the phone, through live video sessions, and in writing. In short, Mallory works hard to optimize our team’s performance and continually improve the SWC client experience.
Born in Texas and raised in Orange County, Calif., Mallory toyed with the notion of becoming a schoolteacher when she grew up, encouraged by the admiration she held for many of her instructors in grade school and junior high. Later, she became an honor student at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo and San Diego Mesa College in San Diego, finally completing a rigorous 1,000-hour program and receiving a degree in cosmetology from Bellus Academy in Poway, Calif.
Prior to joining the team at SWC, Mallory served as a property manager, assisting multiple boards of directors with running their communities, at one time managing portfolios for up to 15 properties. Previously, she was an administrative legal assistant at a San Diego-based law firm. In addition to her cosmetology certification, she is a California Notary Public and a certified manager of Community Associations (M-100).
Married for four years, Mallory and her husband purchased a home in 2021, and spend time walking their pit bull chihuahua. She calls herself a Disney Adult, spending every birthday at Disneyland and decorating her home with everything Disney. A lifetime reader, Mallory said her favorite things to read and watch are crime documentaries.

Mallory Serzen — In Her Own Words

Finish this sentence: On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me…
In bed watching the new episode of 20/20 and cuddling with my dog.

The most important thing I want people to know about SWC is:
That we are a woman-run company and that we’re dedicated to our clients being educated and prepared for the future.

What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?
That I play Dungeons & Dragons and that I always attend San Diego Comic-Con.

Who is someone you admire — either personally or professionally — and why do you admire that person?
I admire my mother — she wasn’t born into a well-off family and has created all the opportunities in her life herself. She started with very little and now has a comfortable lifestyle and is the hardest worker I know. She donates her time to the less fortunate, and is an extremely strong woman who has survived and excelled in a male-dominated industry, allowing other women to follow in her footsteps. She has taught my sister and I to be strong and independent individuals, and for all of that, she has all of my admiration and more.

What is your favorite quote?
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” ~ Walter Elias (“Walt”) Disney
