Marni Walker, CPA
Co-founder | Managing Partner
Marni Walker, CPA, is a founding partner of SWC — an independently owned tax planning and financial strategy advisory firm for small-business owners, real estate investors, and high-net-worth individuals. With a background in accounting and banking and a focus on analyzing new and proposed tax laws and regulations, Marni is SWC’s leader for accountant education, tax procedure, and legacy planning.
A graduate of one of the nation’s top undergraduate business schools — Cal Poly’s Orfalea College of Business — and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), Marni has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, trust administration, and trust accounting for courts and beneficiaries. Her leadership role at SWC includes oversight of the firm’s accountants, estates and trusts practice, and the implementation of new tax procedures.
Prior to forming SWC in 2014, Marni worked in a range of roles within the professional services industry, including as a Certified Public Accountant at Kellogg & Andelson (K&A); an accountant at Cobb, Stees & Company, LLP (which was acquired by K&A); a junior accountant / tax specialist at Monson & Bass; and a financial services representative for a locally owned and operated full-service community bank in the Pacific Northwest.
A past member of the Palomar College Foundation Board of Directors, where she served as Board Treasurer, and a member of the Finance & Investment Committee, Marni enjoys volunteering for youth advocacy causes and spending time with family and friends.

Any restaurant that serves ahi tuna, sushi, or Mexican food is bound to be one I’d return to again and again.
